“Disarm The Pain”

For the song "Disarm The Pain" by See This Through, I led a creative campaign inspired by the gritty, over-the-top aesthetic of the 1970s and 1980s grindhouse cinema. The campaign encompassed album artwork, a music video, a lyric video, and a visualizer video, all unified by a dark and cinematic tone mirrored the song’s powerful message.

The challenge was consistently capturing the grindhouse-inspired style across multiple mediums while ensuring each piece had its unique impact. Collaborating with a commissioned photographer for the album artwork required clear guidance to align their work with the overall vision.

I provided art direction for the album artwork, guiding a photographer to create imagery that evoked grindhouse cinema's raw, dark energy. I conceptualized, shot, and edited the music video and its trailer, embedding cinematic elements like film grain and dramatic lighting to enhance the grindhouse aesthetic. Additionally, I designed, animated, and edited the lyric and visualizer videos, crafting visuals that complemented the music video while expanding the song’s visual narrative.
